Good: We were a family of 4 and really enjoyed the aesthetic of the hotel and its proximity to Yonge / Bloor. We stayed for a number of nights to visit friends and were comfortable with the size of the room, quietness and cleanliness. Bad: No specific comments.

Good: The courtesy of the staff, the fantastic decoration and the delicious food. Bad: The location - it was not a very nice area. Not dangerous though, but not really beautiful like other neighborhoods in Toronto. It was well located, but the area was not pretty.

Lovely place, very centralized. The staff were really helpful and kind when we arrived at the hotel and when we departed. They informed us with the wifi information in person rather than a piece of paper and handed us our key cards for the lock. They asked us how many we needed rather than assuming which I liked. The front desk was open 24/7 and we could just dial 0 on the phone in the room, it was a very unique old phone as well. The rooms has lots of style. Nice shower, lovely design. The room has a fridge as well and an ironing board + iron.

We stayed here for 8 nights to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. On arrival the staff were so friendly and even commented on my husband's birthday - I'd arranged some decoration in our room and a birthday cake etc but he didn't know so it made him feel special when they asked him how his birthday was going. The room we had was beautiful, a suite on the top floor. The bed was super comfortable and there was loads of space. This was practical for us too as my husband has a disability that affects his balance so he wasn't knocking into furniture as it was so spacious. The bathroom was nice and big with just a tiny step up into the shower. I really liked that there were control switches for all the lights at both the entrance and by both sides of the bed. Lots of plug sockets too for gadgets etc. The room contained a hairdryer as well as an iron and board, all of which came in very handy. We didn't eat at the hotel as there are hundreds of options nearby. The subway is just a block away and takes you right into Union Station, very handy when you're a tourist and wanting to get around. The hotel had left earplugs in case we were bothered by any outside noise but we never had to use them, it was quiet, and our room had windows on two sides. If I ever come back to Toronto I would have no hesitation at all staying here again, and would happily recommend the hotel to anyone.

Typically stay with Hyatt but this was our first time at a Hyatt branded JDV property and we were very happy with our experience. The staff was ultra-friendly and accommodating, offering us early check-in without us even asking and willing to hold on to our bags at check-out (also without us even asking). Our room felt hip and chic (not the usual drab hotel room) and the location was within walking distance to great shopping and convenience/grocery stores. No complaints and would recommend to others - won't be out last Hyatt JDV stay!

Amazing hotel with nicely appointed rooms, impeccable cleaning standards and fantastic staff. The restaurant in the lobby is delicious and has decent hours. The hotel does offer valet parking however I opted to park my car in the garage directly across the street which seemed secure and was not outrageously priced. Communication via text message was convenient and I loved that the hotel checked in after we went to our room to make sure everything was clean and met our expectations. Literally, the only thing that wasn’t 10 out of 10 was the location which I knew when I booked this hotel. As with a lot of areas in Toronto, there is a homeless population that live in the park next to the hotel aside from a couple of attempts at panhandling, they were not an issue. At no point did my husband or I feel unsafe in the area but it is definitely something to be aware of both in general in the Toronto area as well as specifically this neighborhood, which as I said does have a park where there is a homeless encampment. I would most definitely stay at this hotel again. It was a night and day difference from my experience in a waterfront hotel downtown last year which was not great. Highly recommend the Anndore house

Stayed a week in a 2 queen bed loft. Room was spacious enough for 3. Joey at the frontdesk was fantastic! Helped us with everything we needed and even left us a little parting gift when we left. The cleaning of the room could have been better - it wasn’t as thorough as I would have liked. Sometimes replacing towels would be missed, or coffee packets, etc. Otherwise the location was great and I felt safe leaving and returning to it. About a 3 minute walk to the subway and 5 to Bloor/Yorkville. Would stay again! Stayed in: 1 King Bed Loft Stay length: 3 night(s)

Good: The hotel is centrally located and well-connected, making it a convenient choice for visitors. The rooms are clean, and the service staff is friendly and professional. These positive aspects contributed to a comfortable stay. Bad: Unfortunately, the payment experience was unacceptable. Although the booking was fully paid in advance via Booking.com, the hotel authorized my credit card three separate times. These amounts remain blocked to this day, despite repeated requests for release. What’s more concerning is that similar issues are reported by other guests, suggesting this may be a recurring practice. Neither the hotel nor Booking.com provided proactive communication or meaningful support. The only response received was a generic apology, lacking any real effort to resolve the issue. Attempts to clarify the situation through Booking.com were met with resistance, and only after threatening legal action did the process begin to move—yet the funds are still held, and the matter remains unresolved. Additional costs, such as international phone charges incurred while trying to reach support, have not been acknowledged. It is frustrating and unjust to have funds blocked without justification, especially after full payment has been made. While one may feel resigned, I hope this review helps others and signals that such practices should not be accepted or normalized.

Absolutely lovely stay and Anndore house! Housekeeping was so friendly and came daily, with the same housekeeper for our whole stay. Front desk staff were always very helpful. Location is amazing, 3 minute walk to the Line 1 and Line 2 subway stop. I'm from Portland, Oregon, so very used to homelessness but fair warning! It is very condensed in the park next to the hotel, can feel a little sketchy at night (But that's hardly the hotel's fault).

We've stayed in Toronto many times and this hotel makes me want to go back. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The staff were friendly and attentive. Of the many places we've stayed in the city, this is the one we want to go back to. Location is excellent for both access to TTC and shopping/restaurants on Bloor and Yonge.

Good: The hotel was very clean. Decor was nice and modern Bad: Breakfast was limited and was not available on the last day. We were told that they didn't know about the children that was staying with us and wanted to change us extra then said they would waiver it. Then actually charged us more than what the booking price was not sure why. The location of the hotel was in an area which definitely didn't feel safe to walk about at night.

Good: I request a quiet room, but the room they give me is extremely noise, can't sleep at all, all time fan noise from outside. They give us some earplugs. Next day, they offer to change my room, which was upgraded and the noise is way lower. So I think they didn't put my request in attention first, but they fixed the problem. Bad: The windows are not soundproof.

We checked into.our beautiful 'Residence' suite on the first floor which was extremely spacious!! The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. We ate dinner at The Constantine restaurant and bar on-site. The wood fire pizzas were delicious. Margaritas pizza flat bread style and the Duck confit Pizza with cherry. Anthony from Ireland and Jackie from Winnipeg were our waiter/bar staff & they were awesome, extremely courteous and friendly too, like all the staff. I would definitely recommend.

The property itself was enjoyable and aesthetically pleasant. The air conditioned room was an oasis during the record heat and humidity. Very close to the property is a little park where homeless individuals gather. This is somewhat to be expected in any major city; you just need to be alert and aware. I don’t recommend parking in the public garage across the street. Our rental car was targeted and marked with grease, but we didn’t leave anything valuable inside. Use the hotel’s valet service instead; it sounded more secure.

Decor is amazing, bathroom/showers are nice, staff are friendly, and beds are comfortable. Had family of 4 but getting the 2 beds setup was not an issue. Chairs/Desk area was comfortable. What a treat to stay at a Hyatt for us! We are from another city, so you just need to be wise about walking out like other reviewers were saying. Otherwise not a big deal. Also, if you're a light sleeper then you might have issues with the city noise (they offer ear plugs or white noise generators). But we're heavy sleepers so we didn't have issues.

This is an interesting property. The photos are clever, the rooms were interesting. Our first room which we paid for on a higher floor was directly outside of the elevator (which or me is a no go). Our next room was on a lower room, farther from the elevator but the toilet and shower were in a separate room from sink. The shower amenities were nice. We initially drove past the hotel because it wasnt clear that we had arrived. Down the street in one direction were many homeless people and the other Younge street which is interesting, a little dirty but vibrant and many walkable places to eat. The staff were all very good.

Very nice hotel in a less than desirable location!! Excellent staff who were all very friendly, the room was nice and bed was super comfy only wished is was in better location. Located near ton of restaurants and very close to Eataly, only major issue was the amount of homeless people camped out next door.
