Very nice hotel in a less than desirable location!! Excellent staff who were all very friendly, the room was nice and bed was super comfy only wished is was in better location. Located near ton of restaurants and very close to Eataly, only major issue was the amount of homeless people camped out next door.

Good: Beautifully decorated hotel and gorgeous rooms. Gorgeous exposed pipes and clever decor. Food was pleasant and staff friendly Bad: Nothing the hotel can do, but so unpleasant and intimidating to see active drug use on entering the hotel and as the main view from the window. Saw dogs tied up and presumably owned by the users which was also upsetting. Reception staff seem quite inexperienced, although pleasant

The Anndore was a great place stay for all the family. Fantastic room, great location 5 mins from Metro. The room was pretty cool, good view of the city, liked the shower-room especially and the bed was very comfy. A/C was good but a bit noisy. Staff were great and had our room ready for us even tho we arrived far earlier than the check-in time We only ate in the hotel once, for breakfast, which was very tasty, but we used the adjoining Scarlet Door coffee shop a couple of times for coffee and pastry. Great coffee btw! I would highly recommend the Anndore hotel if you are ever needing an upmarket stay in downtown Toronto 😎😎😎

Good: Well-placed property, near Bloor-Yonge station (connecting lines 1 and 2). Lots of shops and restaurants are within a few blocks. There's a municipal parking building right in front of the hotel - after some parking time they limit the amount you have to pay for, be daytime or nighttime. Staff is nice and attentive. Cleanliness is very good.

Good: Room was very spacious and well appointed - great use of the space and was also so nice to have 2 comfy chairs. Everyone on staff was very helpful. Hotel in a great location - still very close to downtown but with enough distance that there are more independent shops/cafes/restaurants.

Good: Lovely hotel with nice rooms in a good location for seeing the city. Extremely close to Yonge-Bloor station, which gets you literally anywhere easily. Bad: This neighborhood has become surprisingly (and shockingly) sketchy in recent years. We witnessed open hard drug use and public defecation during the day within yards of the hotel, which was unexpected to say the least. This is not the hotel's fault, of course, but it did color the view on our stay.

Great room with very comfortable bed. Had a little one with us, and she slept throughout the night. Yes, there was some outside noise but providing the earplugs in the room was very clutch. Didn’t have the chance to try out the restaurant Constantine but will have to on my second trip. Thank you for valet, Reza and Joe at the front desk.

One of the coolest hotels I’ve stayed at hands down! It has such a fun vibe throughout every space and the rooms are incredible. You can tell they put in so much attention to detail and the beds are soooo comfy!! The restaurant and cafe downstairs were so convenient and SO yummy. The area had a ton of great shopping and museums too which was awesome! Also a Hyatt so I got to collect points, would definitely stay again!

Good: I love the Andore and have been there before. It is a very cute hotel with charm and it is very clean. It used to have record players that were so cute. Staff was really good and helpful. It is an adorable hotel. Bad: This year there were many homeless and drug addicted people just outside of it. Trash everywhere and people doing drugs and literally falling over where they were. Made us feel unsafe. That is what you saw going in and out of the hotel. It was very unnerving and sad.

Our first night in Toronto! and what a great start! We used Hyatt points to stay at The Anndore House and it was totally worth it, essentially a free stay with 5-star comfort. The beds and pillows were so comfy, I had the best sleep I’ve had in a while. The room was clean and thoughtfully stocked, if you need anything like bottled water, a comb, or a toothbrush, just call and they’ll bring it right up. The staff was incredibly warm and helpful, making our first time in Toronto feel extra welcoming. Location-wise, it’s perfectly central, close to HMart, Youthville, and tons of great food spots. Highly recommend this hotel for your first few nights in the city!

Wow, where do I even begin? Our experience at The Anndore House was absolutely exceptional. I planned an international offsite in Toronto for 50 employees and after searching high and low across the city for the perfect hotel block, we landed on The Anndore House - and I’m so glad we did. The team at the hotel is truly unmatched. In particular, Ahra and Nathalia were incredible to work with. Calm, precise, and professional, yet warm and approachable - they made the entire planning process feel effortless. From coordinating individual rooms for everyone to organizing offsite meetings and presentations in the event space with catering, drinks, and so much more, they went above and beyond every step of the way. We also utilized Constantine and the coffee café - and everything was seamless. Ahra and Nathalia are the kind of people who make my job easier. Their thoughtfulness, care, understanding, and empathy shone through in every interaction we had. They truly deserve recognition for their hard work (and patience in dealing with me!). The hotel itself is gorgeous. Spacious, modern, clean and beautifully designed. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this impressed by a hotel, but The Anndore House truly has it all. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience, and I would do it all again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Anndore House team!

Amped up with Style, Courtesy, & Scintillating Flavours in the Restaurant! What a spectacular stay! Highly recommend for a boutique hotel experience amped up with style, flavour, and courtesy, reminiscent of gentler days where franchising didn't remove the personal touch. Hyatt has brought that personal touch back in the Anndore House! Loved the quirky touches that made you smile like fun art, owl throw pillow, or the historic dial phone in our room. Super comfy bed. This was a repose of elegance and calm amidst a bustling city. Was reminded that I have so much to be grateful for while observing sights and sounds around, or talking to international staff employed from many parts of the world, who very graciously took care of my family. Thank you everyone for your service.

Really this is a 4.5 star review, but they AREN'T perfect. This is a funky, “alternative” boutique hotel. It’s location is pretty handy to attractions on the north side of Toronto, and yet there’s a subway station just a few hundred feet away that gets you quickly downtown. The décor is "industrial chic" with simple plywood furniture, and much of the plumbing and electrical on the exterior of rough concrete or brick walls. The artwork is a mish mash of different styles, genres and decades. There’s an old fashioned looking land line phone (although push button) and amazingly cool faucets and showers controls. Made of polished brass, they look old fashioned while having a solid, very mechanical feel. We liked the sink being separate from the toilet and shower – very convenient. But they kept putting the hand towels in the shower, not at the sink. Annoying. This is one of the few hotels I can remember that didn't have some damage or deferred maintenance. There were no banged up door frames, falling toe kick, loose tile, toilets that didn't flush properly, etc. It shows attention to detail. Staff was effusively polite and response to any enquiry was immediate. There’s no ice machine on the floor, so you have to call it up from the restaurant. But it always came within a few minutes. The bed was OK, not great. A little too firm for us, and we disliked that the comforter being sewn into a sheet, so you can’t separate it out. So either you sleep without it at all, or you have to set the A/C temp very low to keep the room cool enough. We asked for a lighter comforter which was provided, but we would have preferred old school sheets and a blanket! The lobby is very small, and street signage is terrible. The attached restaurant is much more obvious, not sure about this choice. Some other gripes. The A/C was making a funny rattling noise. They sent a maintenance guy up who cleaned the filters which solved the problem. Why aren’t the filters on a regular cleaning schedule? The biggest (and dumbest) design decision were the light switches. There are three banks of switches to control all the lights, including the closet where the sink was, the toilet and shower and the main lights. One bank was at the front door, and the other two by the bedsides. So if you want to go into the closet to use the sink, you have to go to the front door to turn on the light. And there are 5 switches total for each bank, so if you need reading glassed (90% of adults over the age of 45 do.) you must have them with you to figure out which switch you need. And if it’s dark, you risk turning on ALL the lights in place. Not a nice thing for your partner. It’s a completely idiotic design and will be difficult and costly to fix, but should be done. Another complete failure is the TV setup. There are no streaming or cable channels. It’s all local stations, and a couple from Buffalo, NY. But if you want to catch up on your Netflix or Hulu, (Much less Max or Starz) you have to stream it off your phone, which didn't work very well. In this day and age and in a 4 star hotel, it’s just not good enough. Value is decent for a 4 star hotel and we would stay here again. The in house restaurant is not up to the same standard, reviewed separately. They definitely need to fix the TV issue (easy) and the light switches. (Not easy)

You get quite a spacious and nicely decorated (industrial nyc chic) suite for what you pay for compared to other downtown hotels and a nice view of the Bloor yorkville neighbourhood. My only gripe is the tv - it shows an option for screen mirroring but after speaking with concierge, I was advised it’s not actually enabled. No options to watch any streaming services either. Anyways, the restaurant downstairs is definitely worth checking out!

We had a great stay at this hotel! The room was very clean and well-maintained thanks to Afrah, she did an amazing job and really made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. The staff in general were kind and helpful. The location is also very convenient, close to everything you might need. However, it’s worth noting that the surrounding area has a visible presence of homelessness and drug use, which might be a bit unsettling for travelers who aren’t used to seeing that. Of course, this is not something the hotel can control, and once you’re inside, everything feels safe and well managed. Overall, I’d still recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, service, and comfort.

We enjoyed our stay at the Anndore House! The room was clean and roomy! We were on the highest floor so it was relatively quiet from the hustle and bustle of the street noise below. Great location - near a lot of restaurants, bubble tea and even an HMart around the corner! Walking distance to Eaton Center area, Old Toronto, CN Tower, Kensington Market and St Lawrence Market.
