The Anndore House is a great place to start off, to end up, and to celebrate! To help set the classy tone, all of our rooms are equipped with turntables and records. The Crows Nest Barbershop right onsite is hip, professional and a great place to get the gang groomed for the occasion. Constantine is perfect for dinner, with something to please everyone, and its 50-seat bar serves drinks and small plates long after the main restaurant closes. Here are some of the many adventures your group of groomsmen could go on…
Take a Brewery Tour
Put together a list of your favourite breweries (or of beermakers you’ve been meaning to investigate), make up a schedule and go for it – or enlist the experts at Beer Lovers’ Tour Company for a custom tour brimming with insight into the art of brewing and Toronto’s brewing and distilling history.
Go Bowling
For pub fare and bowling right in the heart of the entertainment district, hit The Ballroom. Or check out the newly reopened Shamrock Bowl & Restobar on Coxwell Avenue in the east end. It has arcade games, pool, bowling, clubbing, cocktails, kebabs and piadina all under one roof.
Throw Axes
Backyard Axe Throwing League (or BATL) offers an urban venue in which you can experience the excitement of indoor axe throwing. This (sort of) extreme activity started in a Toronto warehouse in 2006 and today over 1.25 million people have experienced its thrills. In Toronto, there are BATL venues at the Port Lands, the Stockyards and near Yorkdale Mall. Awesome refreshment, instruction and throwing packages are available for bachelor parties and other events.
Catch a Game
Take in some baseball Bring your boys down to the Rogers Centre for a Blue Jays game. You’ll be able to get tickets at the stadium no problem. Once you’re in, make sure to drop by the Budweiser Lounge between innings.
Hit up the Esplanade
Just east of Union Station, this little strip is lined with bars, pubs, restaurants and fun. Whichever watering hole you wind up at, make sure to swing by the Bier Markt, an 18,000 square-foot pub featuring three bars, two patios and the best party in town.
See a burlesque show
Burlesque is a classier affair than going to see strippers, and excellent options abound. On most Wednesdays, the Bovine Sex Club (it’s not an actual sex club) hosts a burlesque night. Sinful Sundays at Cherry Cola’s and Revival Club’s Kitty Nights (on the third Saturday of every month) are also fun and titillating shows. Or, for a throwback to your early-noughts naughtiness, Cherry’s also has Shameless Saturdays, which are Suicide Girl meet-and-greets.
If none of these suggestions are quite right, our full-service guest experience team will be glad to help make your bachelor night out the second best party ever.
